This video is late! I should of uploaded this video July 4; but busy busy busy. Anyways…This is how I trim my hair. It is very important to make sure you trim your hair every 8 to 12 weeks, to prevent split ends. Because your natural does not mean you can not get split ends, the only people that are safe from gettin those are people with a fade and maybe loc ( im not sure)..lol! But yeah! Thanks!

You can’t tell that I got a trim right? That’s the point of dusting your ends 
For Happy Healthy Hair, Trim 1/4 of an inch every 3-6 months. If you notice split ends, you should trim at least 1/2 to 1 1/2 inches (check out the vlog Split Ends 101 for more details).

This is how I request my hair trims: wash, detangle while conditioner is in my hair, rinse conditioner out, apply some more conditioner, leave hair wet, part and detangle each section working on is even, once tangle free stretched straight then cut.
One thing I realized, after talking to numerous stylist, is that somethings are not learned in beauty school. If the stylist is willing to listen and learn, then I’m willing to give them a try. Trust me I was thinking to my self, I hope she doesn’t hook me up (in a bad way). But I had a feeling everything was going to turn out fine as long as I gave her the confidence that it wasn’t as hard as she thought/heard, and that she could. Not that I was going against my last video, but I’d been to that salon before. Sometimes it’s going to take us to teach them not to be afraid of nappy kinky tightly curly hair, if you know what I mean. I could have gotten out of her chair, but something told me not to, that she was more afraid of messing up than to do it… so I took my chances, but only because I got a good vibe. After the initial shock, she listened and did everything just as I requested (she is the type I’m looking for).

..i got a trim…do you like it. i must say that with really long curly hair, or curly hair that was the legnth as mine. you have to trimm your ends, or it will split and matte up. now that i have taken about an inch off i can continue you growing it longer.
